There are so many great benefits to in person networking- lets break them down for you!
New Connections!
The main benefit of networking is gaining a wide range of new connections of businesses in your industry; however, it also allows you to meet people from different industries that you might not usually get a chance to speak to. All these potential conversations can be great at giving you inspiration.
New clients!
Let’s be honest, the real reason we go to networking events is to bag ourselves some new business. Networking events are a great place to sell your business to brand new potential clients, however, be on your ‘A game’ as there may be direct competition in the room with you.
Confidence building!
Sitting in the office every day and communicating on the phone and through email with existing clients can become easy and second nature. However, talking face-to-face with brand new people can be scary. Networking events are a great way to build up your interpersonal skills and confidence. Everyone is in the same boat’ new location, new faces everyone is bound to be a little nervous. The best thing to do is find something in common with whoever you’re talking to, it doesn’t have to be business! Maybe you’re from the same area, or support the same football team? Just get the ball rolling and the conversation flowing and in no time, you’ll be exchanging business cards and talking about how you can help each other.
Long lasting relationships!
Once you start going to networking events regularly, you’ll start to recognise people, this is when your connections start to become long lasting relationships. It’s a great way to get your name out there as people start recognising you and refer potential clients your way. We have built up a great lasting relationship with Erewash Partnership, even members of staff that don’t deal with them in office are now chatting and having a great time with them whenever they bump into each other at networking events.
Team building!
There’s nothing better for team morale than a trip out together. Our most recent event out was at a networking event at Morley Hayes golf club. We were surrounded by amazing views and had the opportunity to chat with each other all day and also got to catch up with some familiar faces from other networking events earlier in the year.
